Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, invites applications from qualified and experienced medical professionals including retired medical officers from CIL, other PSUs, Government organizations and private practitioners. Posts for Medical Specialist Consultants (Specific Specialties) are available on contract basis for three hours twice a week for a fixed tenure of two years. The contract can be extended for an additional year depending on the requirements and satisfactory performance.
Ability
Candidates must have MBBS degree from a recognized institute or college approved by the Medical Council of India along with recognized postgraduate degree, DNB or postgraduate diploma. BDS candidates are not eligible.
Retired Medical Specialists and Retired General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) of CIL and its subsidiaries can also apply, provided they satisfy the following conditions:
- They should have a minimum ‘Good’ rating in the last five years of their service.
- He should not have faced any punishment under the CDA rules of the company in the last five years.
- They should not have been involved in any corruption, illegal gratification or criminal case during their entire service period or after retirement.
For external candidates, minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant specialization with self-declaration of this experience is required.
remuneration
- The consolidated honorarium for each three-hour session is ₹8,000. No TA/DA will be provided, as the engagement is purely local in nature.
- Accommodation will not be provided, and Medical Consultants appointed on hourly basis are not entitled to any paid leave.
- Retired officers of CIL and its subsidiaries, who are covered under the Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Scheme (CPRMSE), will continue to be governed by the Scheme during their appointment as consultants.
- Consultants who were not previously holding posts in CIL or its subsidiaries will be entitled to medical facilities for themselves and their spouse as per Coal India Medical Attendance Rules (MAR) during their appointment, but only in CIL hospitals and dispensaries, as per the panel. Maximum Age Limit: Candidates age should not exceed 70 years during the contract period.

MCL reserves the right to shortlist the candidates for the interview/selection process. Please note that no TA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview or selection process.
