Online applications are invited from Indian citizens to fill the posts of Stenographer Grade-III for the District Courts of Uttar Pradesh. This recruitment is conducted under the Uttar Pradesh State District Court Service Rules, 2013 and Uttar Pradesh State District Court Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2017 with the orders issued by the Hon’ble Chief Justice.

Educational qualification
Qualifications for Hindi Stenographer:
- Graduate with Diploma or Certificate in Stenography
- Shorthand speed in Hindi 80 words per minute
- Typing speed in Hindi 30 words per minute
- CCC Certificate issued by NIELIT (DOEACC Society)
- Typing speed 25/30 words per minute for Hindi/English typewriting on computer.
Qualifications for English Stenographer:
- Graduate with Diploma or Certificate in Stenography
- Shorthand speed in English 100 words per minute
- Typing speed in English 40 words per minute
- CCC Certificate issued by NIELIT (DOEACC Society)
- Typing speed 25/30 words per minute for Hindi/English typewriting on computer.
age limit
Candidates applying for direct recruitment of Stenographer Grade-III must not be at least 18 years and not more than 40 years of age as on July 1, 2024. Specifically, candidates must have been born on or after July 2, 1984. Before July 1, 2006.

selection process
Stage I: written examination
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Marks: 100
- Number of questions: 100
Phase II (Part A): Hindi and English Type Test on Computer
- Typing Speed: 25 words per minute for Hindi
- Typing Speed: 30 words per minute for English
Phase II (Part B): Hindi/English Stenography Test
- For Hindi Stenographers: 80 words per minute in shorthand (Hindi)
- For English Stenographers: 100 words per minute in shorthand (English)
application process
- Candidates must apply for Stenographer Grade-III post through online mode only; Applications submitted in any other way will not be accepted.
- Each candidate is allowed to submit only one application for the post of Stenographer Grade-III.
- Candidates applying for both Stenographer Grade-III (Hindi) and Stenographer Grade-III (English) should select “Both” on the online application form and pay fee (double the prescribed fee) for both the posts. .
- If a candidate submits multiple applications for the same post, only the last submitted application with the requisite fee will be considered.
